Design and Display
Once again, the design is not at all different from the previous year, excluding the main cameras are now a little larger and the display notch is 20% reduced. The iPhone 13 Pro becomes a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED, while the Pro Max spirits up to 6.7-inches.
Both displays have up to 120Hz refresh rate support for the primary period which Apple calls “ProMotion Display”.
The refresh rate is adaptive, which means it can go among 10Hz to 120Hz reliant on the on-screen movement. If the screen is presenting a motionless image, the refresh rate will go down to 10Hz to save battery life, but it will go up to 120Hz once you start scrolling. IOS 15 has been revised to make superlative use of these new displays.
Internals and
Storage
The CPU architecture remains similar to the 2+4 CPU configuration which Apple says is “50% faster than the top competition”.
You get the standard 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB NV Me storage choices, but Apple is also presenting a 1TB choice for the first time ever. There is no declaration of RAM options yet, but all headsets will boot the updated iOS 15.
Cameras
You get a similar 12MP resolution on all three cameras, but with better-quality lenses, sensors, and image processing. The main 12MP sensor has a remarkable pixel size of 1.9µm with a brighter aperture. This lets the sensor capture up to 2.2x times more light for better-quality low-light taking pictures.
The Pro models get the privilege of a telephoto lens also which offers 3x optical magnification over the main cam.
The ultra-wide camera also gets an improved lens with better-quality autofocus and 92% extra light-capturing technology. The better-quality autofocus also lets the ultra-wide sensor act as a macro camera for zoom shots.
Battery and Pricing
Apple has not stated battery capacity for any of its headsets but has said that an iPhone 13 Pro will last 1.5 hours than the iPhone 12 Pro on a regular. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is guaranteed to go 2.5 hours extended than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple hasn’t said anything about faster charging, therefore we are likely getting the similar 20W wired fast charging.
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will be offered in Graphite, Gold, Silver, and the all-new Sierra Blue color for $999 and $1099 individually.
